ABOUT
Melissa Gonzalez- Author | Speaker | Principal
Across her career, Melissa has built, scaled, advised, and led at the intersection of business strategy, consumer behavior, and human experience. As a Principal at MG2, a global architecture and design firm, and a Shareholder at Colliers Engineering & Design, she works with leading brands and organizations to create more meaningful connections between people, places, and purpose.
Melissa first became known as the founder of The Lionesque Group, where she and her team launched more than 200 retail activations and helped pioneer the pop-up retail movement. Her first book, The Pop-Up Paradigm: How Brands Build Human Connections in a Digital Age, established her as a trusted voice in customer experience, retail innovation, and the future of physical engagement.
Her latest work expands that lens from how brands create connection to how people create sustainable success. As an author, speaker, corporate executive, and strategist, Melissa brings a rare combination of business credibility and human insight. Her work challenges the belief that success requires doing more, pushing harder, and overriding what you know to be true. Instead, she helps people recognize when an old definition of success no longer fits — and how to pivot toward a model that is more aligned, intentional, and sustainable.
Through The Purpose Pivot: How Dynamic Leaders Put Vulnerability and Intuition into Action, Melissa helps high-achieving professionals, leaders, and organizations examine the patterns that often sit beneath success: overcommitment, constant output, ignored instinct, and the belief that more effort is always the answer. Her perspective is simple but powerful: the strategy that helped you succeed may not be the strategy that sustains your next chapter.
Drawing from her own leadership journey, entrepreneurial experience, and personal health turning point, Melissa speaks to the moments when what once worked starts to feel harder than it used to. Her work helps people move from automatic doing to clearer decision-making — reevaluating where their time, energy, wellbeing, and ambition are actually going.
Today, Melissa partners with organizations and audiences ready to redefine success in a way that is not just impressive from the outside, but sustainable in practice. Her keynotes, writing, podcasts, and media work explore leadership, wellbeing, decision-making, intuition, and the pivot points that help people move forward without abandoning themselves in the process.
